Simple Care and Maintenance Guide

• Seal Your Stairs: We recommend applying a high-qualitypenetrating (impregnating) sealer every 18 to 24 months. This protects the stone from deep-seated stains and makes cleaning much faster.

• Safe Cleaning: Always use pH-neutral stone cleaners. Avoid harsh bleaches or acidic liquids, as these can dull the natural charcoal color and break down the stone’s protective sealer.

• Pressure Washing: You can safely pressure wash your bluestone stairs to clear away winter debris. Just keep the nozzle at a 45-degree angle and avoid blasting the grout lines at extremely high pressure to protect the mortar base.
