Premium Travertine Cobblestones for High-Character Outdoor Spaces

If you want to add immense charm, texture, and old-world elegance to your home’s exterior, Travertine Cobblestones are the perfect choice. These compact, heavy-duty stone blocks bring the timeless look of classic European streets straight to your property.

Unlike factory-made concrete blocks or clay bricks, our travertine cobblestones are made from 100% natural stone. They offer a rugged, high-end finish that gives driveways, pathways, and garden features a truly premium look.

What are Travertine Cobblestones?

Travertine cobblestones are crafted from the exact same durable, natural limestone as our popular tiles and pavers. The main difference is their size and how they arrive. These small, robust blockscome loose in bags or crates rather than on mesh backing. This loose format gives your installer complete freedom to lay them out in custom patterns, curved lines, or traditional fan shapes.

Because they are built to handle the heaviest outdoor demands, cobblestones arefor outdoor use only. They feature a tumbled, unfilled finish that keeps the natural pores open, providing a rustic texture and excellent safety underfoot.

Why choose Travertine Cobblestones?

  • Built for maximum strength: At 30mm thick, these compact blocks are incredibly strong. When properly installed on a solid base, they easily handle the weight of cars and heavy vehicles, making them perfect for premium driveways.
  • Perfect for curves and edging: Because they come as loose individual pieces, cobblestones can easily follow tight curves, winding garden borders, and circular driveways without the need for complex cutting.
  • They stay cool in summer: Just like our large pavers, travertine cobblestones do not absorb intense heat from the sun. They stay remarkably comfortable for bare feet, making them great for sun-exposed walkways.
  • Excellent non-slip grip: The combination of small stone sizes, multiple grout lines, and a textured natural finish provides superior traction for both walking and driving, even when the stone is completely wet.

Choose your color

Every loose cobblestone shows off the raw, breathtaking beauty of natural stone formed over thousands of years in hot springs. We offer them in our four favorite signature colors:

  • Ivory: A bright, creamy white. It reflects natural light beautifully, making entryways and front paths feel exceptionally grand, light, and welcoming.
  • Beige: A warm, sandy tone that delivers a classic Mediterranean look. It is highly practical for driveways because it easily hides outdoor dust and tire marks.
  • Silver-Grey: A modern mix of cool ash and pewter tones. It looks incredibly sharp and contemporary next to green landscaping, modern fencing, and dark garage doors.
  • Noche: A deep, rich chocolate brown. Perfect for creating a bold architectural border or a cozy, traditional courtyard path with lots of character.

Where to install Travertine Cobblestones

  1. Driveways and carports

Move away from boring poured concrete or plain asphalt. Travertine cobblestones offer the structural thickness and density required to handle daily vehicle traffic while turning your driveway into a stunning focal point.

  1. Winding garden paths

Cobblestones flow beautifully through garden beds, trees, and lawns. Because they come loose, they can follow the natural slopes and curves of your yard, creating an elegant European walkway.

  1. Garden borders and path edging

You can use these small blocks as a decorative border or "mowing strip" to separate your lawn from your garden beds or large paver patios. It creates a neat, clean, and high-end boundary line.

How to clean and look after it

Caring for outdoor cobblestones is exactly the same as looking after standard pavers. It is simple if you follow these basic rules:

  1. Seal the stone every 1 to 2 years

Because travertine is a natural, porous stone, it needs to be sealed to guard against oil leaks, tire marks, and weather damage.

  • The water test: Splash a little water on a cobblestone. If it sits on top in a bead, your sealer is working. If it soaks in and darkens the stone, it is time to put on a new coat.
  1. Basic daily cleaning
  • Clear away sand and debris: Use a broom or leaf blower to clear away dirt and grit regularly. This stops debris from packing tightly into the joints.
  • Use gentle soap: Wash your stones using only mild, pH-neutral cleaners made specifically for natural stone.
  • Clean spills fast: Oil, grease, and acidic liquids should be cleaned up quickly to prevent them from soaking deep into the stone's pores.
  1. What to avoid
What to avoid Why you must avoid it
Vinegar, Lemon, & Bleach These are highly acidic. They will chemically burn the stone and leave permanent, ugly white dull spots.
Wire Brushes & Scratchy Pads These will scratch the beautiful surface and ruin the finish of the stone.
Generic Glossy Sealers Standard wet-look or acrylic sealers trap moisture inside the stone, which can cause it to turn cloudy and rot over time.
High-Pressure Washers Extreme water pressure can blast open the natural holes in the stone or wash away the sand between the joints. Use a low-pressure wash instead.
