Crazy pavers (sometimes called random stone or flagstone) are made from the exact same 100% natural travertine as our standard tiles and pavers. The only difference is the shape. The stones are broken and cut into random pieces up to 350mm in size.

Caring for outdoor crazy paving is exactly the same as looking after standard pavers. It is simple if you follow these basic rules:

1. Seal the stone every 1 to 2 years

Because travertine is a natural, porous stone, it needs a layer of protective liquid sealer to guard against stains, food spills, and weather damage.

• The water test: Splash a little water on the stone. If it sits on top in a bead, your sealer is working. If it soaks in and darkens the stone, it is time to put on a new coat.

2. Basic daily cleaning

• Clear away sand: Use a broom or leaf blower to regularly clear away dirt and grit. Walking on trapped sand can act like sandpaper and scratch the stone over time.

• Use gentle soap: Wash the floors using only mild, pH-neutral cleaners made specifically for natural stone.
