Premium Travertine Tiles for Indoors and Outdoors

Travertine tiles are the top choice for Australian homes. They give you a beautiful look that lasts a lifetime. Unlike factory-made ceramic or porcelain tiles, travertine is 100% natural stone formed near hot springs. This gives every single tile its own unique look, pretty patterns, and natural texture.

Made for the Australian lifestyle

Travertine is a fantastic investment for your home. It looks luxurious and actually helps increase your property value over time.

  • For indoors: We recommend a smooth finish where the natural tiny holes are filled. This makes the floor feel silky soft under your feet and very easy to clean.
  • For outdoors: We leave the tiny holes open to give the stone a rustic look. This creates a safe, non-slip surface that is perfect for backyards and pool decks.

Why choose travertine over man-made tiles?

  • It stays cool in the heat: Travertine does not absorb heat from the sun like concrete or porcelain tiles do. Even on the hottest summer days, it stays surprisingly cool and comfortable for bare feet.
  • It does not fade in the sun: Concrete and synthetic tiles can fade or bleach under the harsh Australian sun. Because travertine is natural stone, its colors will look just as beautiful in ten years as they do today.
  • It prevents slips and falls: When left with its natural texture, travertine offers incredible grip. It passes the highest Australian safety standards, giving you peace of mind around wet pool areas and garden paths.
  • Every piece is unique: Since it takes thousands of years for nature to make this stone, no two tiles are identical. You get a completely custom, high-end look that factory-made tiles cannot copy.

Where to use travertine tiles in your home

  1. Around the pool

Travertine is the king of pool areas. It easily handles splashes of pool water, lets water drain naturally, and keeps your feet cool in 40°C heat. We use a textured, unfilled finish here to keep the area safe and non-slip for the whole family.

  1. Patios and backyards

Using travertine on your backyard patio creates a beautiful space for entertaining. It easily hides dirt and footprints, and it never gets damaged by the sun.

  1. Living rooms

Bringing travertine inside adds a warm, natural feel to your home. For indoor floors, we use tiles with a smooth, factory-filled surface. This makes the floor completely flat and very easy to mop.

  1. Bathrooms and showers

You can turn your bathroom into a luxury resort. Using travertine tiles on the walls makes your ceilings look higher and gives the room a clean, beautiful look.

Choose your color

We offer four beautiful, natural colors to match your home:

  • Ivory: A bright, creamy white. It reflects natural light beautifully and makes rooms or outdoor spaces feel much larger and open.
  • Beige: A warm, sandy color. This classic European look is highly practical because it easily hides daily dust and footprints.
  • Silver-Grey: A modern mix of cool greys and silver tones. It looks amazing next to green grass and wooden decks.
  • Noche: A deep, rich chocolate brown. Perfect for creating a bold look or a cozy, classic feel.

Popular tile sizes

We supply our premium travertine tiles in three easy-to-install options:

  • 610 x 406 mm (12mm thick): Our most popular rectangle size. It makes patios and rooms look longer and larger.
  • 610 x 610 mm (12mm thick): A modern square tile that creates a clean, simple grid pattern.
  • French Pattern: A mix of four different sizes laid out together. It gives your floor a beautiful, classic European look.

How to clean and look after your tiles

Taking care of travertine is simple if you follow a few basic rules.

  1. Protect it with sealer (Every 1 to 2 years)

Travertine is a natural stone with tiny pores that can absorb liquids. Applying a protective liquid sealer keeps stains and weather damage out.

  • The water test: Pour a splash of water on your tile. If the water sits on top in a bead, your stone is safe. If it soaks in and darkens the stone, it is time to put on a new layer of sealer.
  1. Easy daily cleaning
  • Sweep up dirt: Sweep up sand and grit regularly. If you leave sand on the floor, walking on it can scratch the stone over time.
  • Use gentle soap: Only use mild, pH-neutral cleaners made for natural stone.
  • Wipe spills fast: Red wine, coffee, and lemon juice can permanently dull or stain the stone. Soak up spills immediately with a paper towel—do not wipe, or you will spread the liquid.
  1. What to avoid
What to avoid Why you must avoid it
Vinegar, Lemon, & Bleach These are highly acidic. They will chemically burn the stone and leave permanent, ugly white dull spots.
Scratchy Pads & Steel Wool These will ruin the beautiful finish and leave highly visible scratches on the stone.
Generic Shiny Sealers Standard gloss sealers trap moisture inside the stone, causing it to rot or turn a cloudy white color.
High-Pressure Washers Extreme water pressure can blast open the natural holes in the stone, making it much harder to clean in the future.
Steam Mops The extreme heat from steam mops melts away your protective sealer much faster, leaving the stone open to stains.
